Recreational soccer stresses the participation, enjoyment, sportsmanship, skill development, safety, and teamwork aspects of the game. The goal is for the players to learn and fall in love with the sport of soccer.
Our recreational teams are formed by Oklahoma Rush staff and coached by coaches in the Oklahoma Rush Coaching Mentorship Program. These Coaches in this program have a strong desire to grow as a coach in the game and achieve higher level Coaching opportunities in the future.
We also will rely on parent volunteers as needed to either coach and/or assist the Oklahoma Rush Mentorship Program Coaches.
Athletes will be placed on teams with friends and Coach requests, as much as possible. The number of players allowed on each team will dictate that. Rush staff will support the Oklahoma Rush Interns and volunteer coaches/parent volunteers with coaching education tools and pre-made training sessions to ensure a great environment for the players.
The Recreational Branch is divided into three divisions: the Micro Division, the Bantam Division, and the 11v11 Division. The number of teams per age group will vary depending on the number of players who register. To see what age group you fall under, see our age group chart.

Volunteers are essential to the operation of our recreational teams. Each team needs a parent volunteer to be team manager or coach.
If you are interested in becoming a volunteer coach or team manager please complete the volunteer form and our Recreational Program Director will contact you!
Every team is required to provide a volunteer coach to coach the team for the season. This person is almost always a parent of a player on the team. The coach will be provided with a Rush Curriculum and a Coach’s Equipment Kit.
This role is very important to help our teams have a successful season! We ask that each team provide a team manager for the season to help with communication and organization.
Each season will be an exciting play-based journey based on skills, coordination, and passion for the game. Players will be active and engaged while gaining confidence and excitement about the game. Seasons run for eight weeks and include one training and one game per week. The spring and summer seasons we play outdoors, the fall season we play futsal indoors, and the winter we play indoor soccer.

What is an in-house league? A league in which teams only play teams within the same program. No away game travel required. Just a simple, Rush vs Rush set up.
The Micro Division of our Recreational Program is an exciting, fun, and energetic in-house league for players 4 to 8 years old! Teams will be formed based on age, teammate requests and coach requests. Rush aims to foster a safe, fun, educational experience for your child as well as a solid foundation for lifetime skills.
